An oral transmission from Dza Patrul Rinpoche (1808-1887), who was an enlightened Tibetan master. It is a reading by Jamie. Patrul Rinpoche lived the life of a vagabond, and simultaneously was one of the most illustrious spiritual teachers of the nineteenth century. His lineage was Jikmé Gyalwé Nyugu, who was a great master and whose master was Jikmé Lingpa.

The teaching is totally alive now, it is the time for this teaching to travel around the world and reach the hungry and thirsty. It is very powerful, and grabs the listener who is a meditator, and shows the way to deepen the understanding of what meditation is — and HOW TO DO IT with the intention of waking up. It should be read by beginners and advanced meditators alike.

Patrul praises the teaching by saying, “It is the universal, king-like solution. It is the Great Seal (Mahāmudrā) of reality. When realized in the morning, it brings enlightenment in the morning. When realized at night, it brings enlightenment at night.“
